糖化がエイジングになるということで砂糖をやめるきっかけになった話

Did you know that sugar can dehydrate you! If there is too much sugar in the blood, the kidneys will try to get rid of the excess sugar. Therefore, the frequency of urination is much higher.

When this happens you eventually lose fluid and as a result, you become dehydrated.

That never be a good situation for your skin.

All this sugar floating about in your bloodstream can also impact how old you look.

According to the study conducted in the Netherlands measured the blood sugar levels of 600 participants between the ages of 50 and 70.

They discovered that those with the higher blood sugar levels appeared older than those with lower blood sugar levels, concluding that for every 1 liter increase in blood sugar, your visual age could rise by 5 months!3

Collagen is a structural protein found in your hair and skin, and it helps to keep the elasticity of your skin.

As you get older, your production of collagen will slow down, which is why your skin appears so firm and smooth when you are young, compared to when you are older.

However, sugar can break down collagen, making the skin more susceptible to premature aging.

This process, known as glycation, causes sugar in the bloodstream to attach to proteins and form new molecules that can damage collagen and elastin.
